@Mashable’s Social Good Day and the 36 Percent Project

This Wednesday, September 21st, members of the Mashable community will be hosting meetups around the world to discuss how to use social media for social change in celebration of Social Good Day 2011.

The 36 Percent Project will be hosting a meetup in Memphis Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Panera Bread on Poplar Ave. Members of the community are invited to come out to brainstorm ideas that will be incorporated into the re-launch of the 36 Percent Project.

Please spread the word and come out and share your ideas on how we can reduce child poverty in Memphis.

The 36 Percent Project is Moving!

First, I want to thank everyone who has supported the 36 Percent Project. Whether you read a post, left a comment, followed 36Prcnt on Twitter, or told someone to check it out, you have my sincerest appreciation for your time.

This project is a part of a larger vision I have to make a difference in my community, and hopefully, other communities as well. I am being vague right now, but in the upcoming months I will be able to share the results of my hard work with you.

You may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything in a while. Well, I want you to know that the 36 Percent Project is alive and well.

The reason things have been so quiet around here is because I am planning to relaunch 36 by building a new website that will allow you more opportunities to learn, discuss, and act.

There will be a new domain, a new look, new content, new everything.

I am hoping that you will support the new 36 just as you have supported its beginnings. I am open to any suggestions or input you may have on how I can improve upon this project. You can email me at 36PercentProject@gmail.com with any questions or comments you may have.

I appreciate your patience, and I cannot wait to share the next chapter of this journey with you.
