We often hear about the problems plaguing Memphis, but the truth is there are a lot of great things happening here as well. Although child poverty is a serious issue in Memphis, there are a number of wonderful organizations working to provide a better future for the city’s children.

But, they need volunteers to increase their impact event further. If you are looking to get involved, below is a map of recommendations from the 36 Percent Project.

Never before has man had such a great capacity to control his own environment, to end hunger, poverty and disease, to banish illiteracy and human misery. We have the power to make the best generation of mankind in the history of the world.
– President John F. Kennedy
